At Rush University Medical Center, I worked in conjunction with the Department of Graduate Medical Education and the program training directors in my home department to recruit, onboard, and train resident and fellow doctors for the Department of Behavioral Sciences (my home department at the time). Year-to-year, I managed the training program - coordinating systems and documentation (MedHub LMS, EPIC patient interface, and department databases).
- Served as a member on the Graduate Medical Education Committee for Process Improvement; the committee assessed task management for residency and fellowship training coordinators. I Developed a job aid on the use of project management software to streamline task management for training coordinators and facilitated a 1-hour workshop on the use of Microsoft Project
- Developed and maintained a Microsoft Access database for my home department to store the residency training program’s data and to track and document trainees’ professional pathways, 5 years post training
- Worked with the Director of Clinical Training and the Department of Graduate Medical to coordinate training services for fellow and resident doctors in my home department (recruitment, on-boarding, credentialing, orientation, and process training)
- Collaborated with program directors to build and maintain the MedHub LMS for my home department. Built and maintained training milestones, competencies, evaluations, rotation schedules, duty hours, conference and research activities, and vacation and professional leave for trainees
