Over my career, I have been committed to pushing training and development initiatives forward by producing professional learning solutions that help to grow people and improve processes.  Over time, I developed my skills as a 21st Century content developer in the field, and I am forward-thinking and passionate about creating innovative and impactful learning experiences that align well with organizational goals, values, and branding while adhering to instructional design best practices and compliance requirements.

Corporate-Track Instructional Designer

Functioned as the lead content developer for the corporate training track – managed projects and developed a wide range of training and communication content across the organization.  Successfully completed over 40 projects (including leadership and professional development content).

Instructional Design Consultant

Worked, as an Instructional Design Consultant, on Blue University's College of Sales and Client Engagement Team at HCSC.  In this capacity, I engaged with department SMEs (Enterprise Network Information; Network Solutions; Contract Administration; and Sales and Marketing) to develop BCBS-branded learning content for targeted audiences across the five (5) HCSC plan states.
  • Created and updated e-learning courses across HCSC departments

  • Created an array of infographic job aids, process maps, and microlearning videos across HCSC

  • Developed a Microsoft Teams virtual onboarding training platform and associated learning content for new hires in the Network Solutions department

  • Helped Contarct Administration carryout their first virtual instructor-led training event, and develop all associated training content

Instructional Designer

At the Residential Real Estate Council (RRC), I created over 17 courses and assessments to help real estate agents across the continental United States achieve and maintain the most prestigious residential real estate designation in the industry, the CRS Designation (Certified Real Estate Specialist).
  • Developed the Virtual Pro Program, a broadly successful VILT program for real estate agents across the continental United States. This training program features RRC’s traditional ILT courses that are repurposed for the virtual classroom to assistance real estate agents in achieving their CRS Designation educational requirements at a much faster rate

  • Formed and led the Virtual Pro Task Team in creating added value (mentorship, sponsorship, and continuing education initiatives) to the Virtual Pro Program, and to strengthen engagement among Virtual Pro learners related to RRC/CRS member initiatives

  • Expanded RRC’s educational catalog by developing new e-learning, ILT, and VILT course offerings for real estate agents

  • Supported RRC membership retention initiatives by developing e-learning assessments (based on TRS Magazine articles) for CRS Designees to achieve their designation maintenance education hours

Instructional Designer

DHL e-Commerce America is a subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL and DHL's e-Commerce America division is responsible for freight transportation in both North and South America.  In my role as instructional designer, I developed leadership and onboarding training courses for distribution center management teams across DHL e-Commerce America.
  • Developed COMPASS leadership training (a 2-day instructor-led workshop) to build a stronger and more scalable operations management team at DHL. The main training topics: DHL’s leadership expectations, Everything DiSC Workplace Profile Training, communication and collaboration among team members, engagement techniques to drive a team-centered workplace, DHL’s performance management expectations, and coaching teams for high performance and career growth

  • Conducted a train-the-trainer session with Training Specialists to introduce the COMPASS leadership training program and provide a walkthrough of the training content

  • Used ProProfs LMS, Adobe Captivate, PowerPoint, and PowToon to develop the Operations Trainer Onboarding Guide (a hybrid training program to help position managers in their new roles as Operations Trainers). Main training modules topics: Operations Trainer pathway to success, Operations Toolkit Checklist, Operations Trainer role and responsibilities, 90-Day Review guidelines, DHL leadership soft skills, DHL Operations process overview, Expedited Max shipping tutorial, and functional operations training schedule timeline and milestones

Residency Training Coordinator

At Rush University Medical Center, I worked in conjunction with the Department of Graduate Medical Education and the program training directors in my home department to recruit, onboard, and train resident and fellow doctors for the Department of Behavioral Sciences (my home department at the time).  Year-to-year, I managed the training program - coordinating systems and documentation (MedHub LMS, EPIC patient interface, and department databases).
  • Served as a member on the Graduate Medical Education Committee for Process Improvement; the committee assessed task management for residency and fellowship training coordinators. I Developed a job aid on the use of project management software to streamline task management for training coordinators and facilitated a 1-hour workshop on the use of Microsoft Project

  • Developed and maintained a Microsoft Access database for my home department to store the residency training program’s data and to track and document trainees’ professional pathways, 5 years post training

  • Worked with the Director of Clinical Training and the Department of Graduate Medical to coordinate training services for fellow and resident doctors in my home department (recruitment, on-boarding, credentialing, orientation, and process training)

  • Collaborated with program directors to build and maintain the MedHub LMS for my home department. Built and maintained training milestones, competencies, evaluations, rotation schedules, duty hours, conference and research activities, and vacation and professional leave for trainees
